Another afternoon with Holly Alexander (NSFW)
A few weeks ago, I was playing about with some film cameras with Holly Alexander as my lovely model ( check that shoot here ), unfortunately Holly didn’t have much time to shoot that day so, fortunately that did mean another shoot !
Instead of shooting with the Mamiya I was just shooting 35mm Fujifilm Acros on an old beat up Nikon camera from back when the uni first opened. I have yet to scan finish processing the images but I do have them developed. Today’s shoot was more to shoot the Towel images that we didn’t have time to shoot last time.
After the shoot we shot another little set with some rope that Holly brought along. Hope you enjoy the shoot & there will be more to come & a blog about shooting the Fuji Acros system next to the actual Acros 35mm film. Check out the article on the Fuji X website about the film sim – link –.
I am pretty sure there the Acros film sim is directly linked to why I am shooting more and more Monochrome images !
All these images where shot in the studio using the Bronc lights – mostly with the most epic Cumalite. Make sure you sign up to my newsletter for news on my towel project when I have it. http://blog.davekaipiper.com/newsletter/
After we shot the towel images, Holly wanted to try and create some images using the Rope she had brought. We loved the ideas of playing with the texture of the rope and the skin so went for a dark and shady lighting style that would show the smooth skin texture and bring out all the detail in the rope.
I used to long, deep Strip soft boxes on a pair of Bronc heads to set up the split lighting used in these shots.
