‘the basics of editing’ Talk for Northampton Camera Club.
‘the basics of editing’
A few times a year, I can be coaxed away from my editing desk and convinced to give some talks about that Dark Art of Post Production & All things Adobe.
In Northampton on the 15th of September we will be having an evening talking about all things related to an Adobe Workflow. (Lightroom, Photoshop, Creative Cloud, Mobile Apps & Photoshop Elements.)
2 hours talking about ‘the basics of editing’ – using a Lightroom & Photoshop workflow.
All types of photography. Landscape, Portrait, Wedding, New Born, Animal…..
- Why should you edit ?
- Good practice & Workflow
- Keeping things simple
- The Creative Cloud
- Live demo / edit
- Making life simple
- Simple ‘Tips and Tricks’
- Live Q&A session.
We may spill over into other programs like Capture One and about Wacom Tablets, where to store things online, editing for blogs etc, but the main concept is to show how you can take a set of images, pull out the good ones, edit & finish them and get a set of images out the other end in the best way possible.
Even if you have never used the programs before, or are a fully fledged Creative Cloud Master, I really hope this evening will be fun and enjoyable. We will try and stay away from the major geeky talk and look at the theory and concepts behind editing and how Adobe have made tools to work with these ideas.
