We started a Video blog
At the end of May we started a video blog / diary.
My life is changing, the world around me is changing and I want to be able to share that with you and document it for me self to look back on. I felt that a video blog as the right way to go as there is something more personal about seeing a person speak rather than a status update on Facebook or tweet. I also wanted to be able to share the good news and the bad times – these posts will be direct and honest. They will cover things work related – personal and things that come and go in my life.
The rest video was filmed on the train as I was headed to a shoot in Warrington on Easter Sunday. I have linked the first few here and think each month that I will make a blog with some of the more interesting uploads.
This is the blog covering the 30th & 31st.
In some ways I really wanted to do a daily blog – but.. I think that I might either do combined days or bi weekly updates. The other thing about doing a video blog is to choice to show and edited version of life or talk about the up’s and downs. April the 1st was tricky day to film. We had gone down to Portland for the Funeral of Stephie’s Grandad. I took my camera with me and I did take a few images of the service. I am still in the process of sharing the images with the family, but we have shared one or two, and I have permission to share the image below here too.
I decided to also do a blog post the evening of the funeral. You can see that blog post directly below here. It was a very difficult day for sure. My heart goes of to all those who knew Norman. He was an amazing person. Rest in Peace.
As I was mentioning, this video blog is going to be just as much of a personal document as a work document. It just so happened that we had the sad loss of Norman a few days into starting the blog.
One of the things about doing what I do is the sheer number of amazing people I get to spend time with. Matt Hart is a wonderful street photographer and fellow Fujifilm X-Photographer. We had the pleasure of dinning with Matt twice this week. The 4th of April saw Stephie’s and my Anniversary. It was our first in fact – directly below is the video from that evening which we filmed at the Hare & Hounds. Underneath is the video we made the following day when Ben Cherry – another fellow Fujifilm X-Photographer popped over to join Stephie, Matt & myself for dinner. We had some beers then made a video.
