Peli 1510 – Carry on Case
With some of the upcoming trips I have this year, upgrading to a hard-case was pretty much a given. With the dusty environments and wet windy beaches, the Peli 1510 was a pretty good option.
The Peli 1510 I have has the laptop and cable arrangement fitted to the roof of the case.

I decided to go for the bright yellow in so in a sea of Peli cases at a gig or shoot, the main camera bag is clear and stands out. I have had a little system of yellow markings for my camera gear also, so, anything with a yellow marking will live in this case. The plan is to do the same with a green or orange lighting case at some point. At this stage, standing out and looking cool is secondary to safety and security. I have my Billingham’s for style and Peli for safety (and style – lets face it, a pro-photographer without a Peli case ??)
In the case:
D800 & double battery grip
D800 battery x3
Double D800 Charger
Fuji Battery x3
Toshiba Satellite touch screen Laptop
Motarola Zoom 2 tablet
Cables and chargers
Wacom Intuos M + 2 pens
Tethertools USB3 + USB2 cables
Lexar CF reader ( Pro Hub slot in section )
Lexar SD reader ( Pro Hub slot in section )
Lexar x1333 CF cards & SD 600xcards
Hard memory card case (bright yellow)
2TB backup storage
Anker 13000 battery USB charger
Tascam DR40 + Sennheiser headphones
2 x 3 pin AC slim travel plugs
Range of filters in different (Lee Filters / Tiffen / B+W)
Westcott Icelight + charger
Will be looking forward to loading this up and heading out into the wild world very soon !! Having the Icelight fit in the roof of the case is going to be super cool for nighttime shooting, video set ups and as a constant light. The Anker battery pack is a life safer too. Having USB battery on-tap is vital to my lifestyle today.
The super cool 3 legged thing tripods also pack down small enough so that I can take the Brian tripod inside the case.
I am going to love having the bigger Wacom and my laptop everywhere also. Editing on the road is always tricky, but with the super fast Laptop and the Tablet this is a bit more fun. Taking a HDMI cable means that most hotels offer up a larger second screen also. This is how much stuff fits just in the lid of the case. I am sure there is room for some extra cables in the right hand side pouch also.

As a parting note – I think I might also get the Ruc Pac Conversion so that I can carry the case on my back. – http://rucpac.com/home.html
