Mid last year Penthouse in Australia got in touch and asked for a little interview & if they could share some images in the magazine – I said yes and here was the article & a transcript of the interview.
Who is the hottest woman in the world?
Well, hot is subjective. Personally I find that intelligence is more attractive that beauty… I guess ladies like Cara Delevinge, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Laura Whitmore & Kate Moss could fit into my ‘hot’ list. I am just not the kind of guy who sees girls as ‘hot’ or ‘not’, I never have been. I like to see class, style and humility.
What’s the one thing you couldn’t do without?
As I photographer I guess I should say my
camera, but I will have to go with music. I love
my Spotify account and I simply cannot work
without my playlists guiding me though my day.
I think this is why an office job would not suit me.
Camera wise…. my Fuji X-T1, my laptop or even
my Wacom tablet for editing.
Who is the greatest photographer of all time,
There are a few names that come to mind for this. Helmut Newton, David Bailey or maybe
someone like Guy Bourdin, Herb Ritts, Peter Lindbergh, Mario Testino, Nick Knight, Richard Avedon. It would be quite impossible to say why one person is better over the other. There is a Montreal based photographer named Ben Von Wong. His work is mazing, but it is so much more than just showing pretty things or stunning images. What he does is engage people and he really does change lives. Photography for Ben is a way to live and a way for him to make other people’s lives better. Very inspiring.
If you could photograph one person in the
world, who would it be?
The Queen. There is no doubt on that. In a hundred years from now, I am sure my children’s children would be looking though a box of images under the stairs or something and come across some images of mine. Would it not be amazing to have images of the Queen in that box ?
