An overview of the XF 60mm Macro
An overview of the XF 60mm f2.4 R Macro
When it comes to shooting beauty or portraits, this is my ‘go to’ lens. Part of the original three lenses this lens is also incredibly well made and does have a metal lens hood. This is the lens that is used for all macro, beauty and make-up based work. For photographers who shoot macro, this lens is a must on the Fuji system as it has a maximum magnification of 0.5x and a very close min focus distance.
Excellent out-of-focus bokeh are achieved thanks to the design of the moulded aperture diaphragm blades. The blades are curved to create a circular image at all aperture settings, while the very edges of each blade are meticulously rounded off rather than simply cut off, which delivers a sharper image. – Fujifilm website
Aside from the slowish focus ‘hunting’ this lens is a worthwhile lens to add to a kit bag. For the focal length and the fact that it is a constant f2.8 at all focus points, the lens is very compact thus, providing a lens with a great deal of versatility.
